Co-founder & CEO
Mutale plays a critical role in connecting LUSO Resources to global capital markets, with a particular focus on Canadian mining networks, venture capital firms, and strategic investors. His research and analysis provide the foundation for the company's strategic decision-making across mineral development, investment pathways, and market positioning.
His responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive research on mineral tenements and investment opportunities
Building relationships with Canadian investors and TSX-listed mining companies
Developing investor materials, pitch decks, and strategic communications
Analyzing mining trends, regulatory frameworks, and market opportunities
Coordinating international partnerships with equipment suppliers and manufacturers
Managing digital presence and corporate communications
Mutale developed detailed guides on mineral development investment pathways and Canadian mining networks that form the strategic framework for LUSO Resources' international expansion. His work bridges Zambian mining opportunities with global investment capital, positioning the company as a facilitator and active participant in Zambia's critical minerals sector.
Co-founder, Advisor & Director of Research and International Relations
Dr. Albert Malama leads LUSO Resources’ strategic vision, research, and international partnerships, leveraging deep expertise in Zambia’s mining sector, academia, and entrepreneurship. With a background spanning mineral development, project management, and regulatory analysis, he guides the company’s efforts in mineral exploration, beneficiation, and investment facilitation.
He holds a PhD from the University of Sheffield (UK), an MArch from the University of London, and a BArch from Copperbelt University, and has previously served as Associate Professor at Copperbelt University and Co-Founder & CEO of A+ Urban Technics.
Dr. Malama co-founded MMM Mining Resources, giving him hands-on experience in building mining ventures from the ground up. At LUSO, he is driving partnerships with international investors, manufacturers, and local miners to develop value-added projects in copper, cobalt, lithium, manganese, and graphite, positioning the company as a transformative force in Zambia’s critical minerals sector and the global energy transition.
